[1] Allegheny County Councilman Vince Gastgeb had a great idea in proposing what's already in practice at some airports around the country -- a short-term cell phone lot that allows those picking up arriving passengers to do so without clogging the arrival terminal's pick-up lanes or parking illegally and gaining the wrath of security officials. And perhaps Mr. Gastgeb's proposal can be enhanced. Some airports, such as the Westchester County Airport in New York, actually have installed flight-arrival electronic signs in those lots. It's worth a look.
