Law came to county in 2004[]
The school bus idling regulation is an enforceable law.
- In the fall of 2004, a new regulation came into being. This is a great measure and our thanks goes out to the Allegheny County Health Department and GASP (a non-profit groups that works to make clean air).
The anti-idling regulations for heavy-duty diesel vehicles includes school bus idling and helps as one walks children to and from school.
