Plank Think again. Edit

  • Youth policy matters need attention. Now that there is no curfew center, the changes to the policy are not understood.
  • Youths should be free to travel any time of day or night.
  • People, youth or adults, making disorderly conduct should be arrested.
  • There is not a strong case for the creation and funding of a youth curfew center.
  • Some rec centers and other spaces for people of all ages, including youth, might be ideal for operations on a 24-hour basis. For example, the Downtown YMCA or the Downtown Salvation Army (ours is with a family crisis center) might be viable examples of facilities that could also hold a C.O.P.S. (Community Oriented Police Station) location as well. I'd love to see a computer lab, such as a cyber playground, that never closes, within the city. It could be a safe, temporay place for kids in a pinch.
