Deb Markowitz -- Vermont. Deb is serving her 8th year in office as Vermont's Secretary of State. She is currently the president of the NASS (National Association of Secretaries of State) and serves on the Board of Advisors to the Federal Elections Assistance Commission. As Secretary of State Deb has been a progressive voice for transparency in elections administration and the elimination of unnecessary barriers to voting. She has implemented an ambitious election reform agenda in Vermont and her voter education and outreach programs are being used as a model for other states.
