Wireless Neighborhoods Annual Meeting[]

WHEN: May 29, 2008, 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM

WHERE: Community House Church, 120 Parkhurst Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15212

We send this invitation to you as a genuine show of our thanks for your support of Wireless Neighborhoods over the years. Any success that Wireless Neighborhoods has experienced has been built upon the support and hard work of its community and school partner and the faith of the local funding community and the Pittsburgh Public Schools administration.

We are particularly honored to have Grant Oliphant, President of the Pittsburgh Foundation, as our keynote speaker for the event. We have asked Grant to share his vision for the Pittsburgh Foundation and to reflect on the role of community in educating children.

John Lasky, the organization’s first Board President, has completed his term and Gerry Balbier has been elected as the new President of the Wireless Neighborhoods Board of Directors. We felt that this was a good time to take pause to reflect on and celebrate what we have accomplished over our first four years and to share our vision for the future.

By most metrics, Wireless Neighborhoods is improving the quality of community-based afterschool programming and producing positive educational outcomes for children. All of the partners’ hard work and commitment has helped to raise over four million dollars since the organization’s inception. The preponderance of these funds have gone directly to support quality after school programming for children in lower income neighborhoods throughout the City of Pittsburgh.

As one of those who have contributed to our successes, we hope that you will be able to join us at the Community House Church for some breakfast and a chance to meet some of our other partners. Please RSVP by completing and faxing the attached form to 412.363.1592 or email your response to AnnualMeeting@wireless-neighborhoods.org.
