The Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy has created two new positions to help revitalize city parks: a parks curator and a manager of Schenley Plaza.

As curator, Susan Rademacher will be responsible for landscape planning, design and preservation, and will oversee the parks' designed landscapes, the group said. James Griffin, who was named manager of Schenley Plaza, will be responsible for the Oakland park and visitor center.

Rademacher comes to Pittsburgh from Louisville, where she was the founding executive director of the Louisville Olmstead Parks Conservancy and an assistant director of Louisville's parks department. Griffin is a former consultant and Congressional aide.
